300 miliseconds!

We all know that 𝗥𝗧𝗠𝗣 is a low latency protocol, but when it is transcoded into 𝗛𝗟𝗦 (as it happens in Youtube), we often find a 15 to 30 second delay in the streaming.

In 2024, there are high-quality, low-latency and scalable streaming solutions, such as W𝗲𝗯𝗥𝗧𝗖 W𝗛𝗜𝗣 and W𝗛𝗘𝗣 standars. In this video, we send a signal from 𝗢𝗕𝗦 to 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗯𝘆.𝗶𝗼 and then play it with an 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗛𝟮𝟬𝟬 decoder.

The OBS laptop and the Amino decoder are in different WAN connections. The first one, connected to a FTTH fiber router. The second one, connected to a Peplink with 5G cellular.

Ping between them is 43 ms on average.
